In the sixth grade, Tommy Siniard’s teacher told him that he should become a lawyer. Although neither he nor his family knew any lawyers personally, his teacher’s suggestion had planted a seed in his head and in his heart. And just like that, he became a lawyer.
Over the past thirty-nine years as a practicing attorney, Tommy has been able to make a significant impact within the industry. For twenty-five consecutive years, he has been named by U.S. News & World Report as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” in the fields of personal injury, workers’ compensation, and medical malpractice. He has, in addition, served over 20 years on the Executive Committee of the Alabama Association for Justice. It’s not surprising then that Siniard, Timberlake & League was awarded the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Ethics from among all small businesses in North Alabama.
Tommy prides himself on being of service to his community and his clients. Though he has worked on cases that have yielded millions of dollars, his dedication to working just as hard on smaller cases remains as strong as when he began thirty-nine years ago. In spite of his personal and professional accomplishments, he is always reminiscent of where he started and continually sets his sight on how he can better serve those around him through community-centered actions and charitable contributions.
A self-assessed extrovert, Tommy is outgoing but does enjoy quiet pastimes like golfing, fishing, and writing. And although he holds those times when he is able to indulge in his favorite activities in high regard, it is his experiences as a father that have been some of his most rewarding.
Today, Tommy has what he describes as the “greatest luxury of all time,” which is practicing law alongside his eldest son Bart Siniard. “We work as a team,” Tommy explains. “And it is a dream come true!”
