Shelley Swain Berry (“Lawdogg”) is a partner at Ruloff, Swain, Haddad, Morecock, Talbert, & Woodward. Shelley is a charismatic attorney who excels in obtaining results for her clients. She specializes in complex car accident and medical malpractice cases; she maintains clients throughout the country. She has represented many high profile cases to date with stellar results.
Born and raised in Virginia, Shelley enjoys spending time with her family and large network of friends. Shelley graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Political Science, with a concentration in Public Law from Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, Virginia. After winning a full scholarship to the University of Missouri, she earned her Master’s in Public Policy, graduating at the top of her class. While earning her Master’s degree, she worked as assistant to Vicky Riback Wilson, who served as a Missouri state representative, fighting for legislation on domestic violence issues, as well as ending discrimination based on mental health and other humanitarian efforts. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2010. While attending Regent University, Shelley was the recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship, Academic Merit Scholarship and served on the Council of Graduate Students. Since graduation, she has been fervently practicing personal injury and medical malpractice.
Shelley truly has a passion for personal injury law. After graduating from Old Dominion University, just after graduation, she was the victim of a serious accident that left her wheelchair bound for a number of months. She relates to and understands clients who have had to go through similar situations and whose family members have been seriously injured. She enjoys being able to call her former clients “friends.” Her ultimate goal is to meet and hear her client’s story and to make someone’s life easier by working on a plan of action to compensate them for their loss after the unfortunate events that have brought them together.
In her spare time, Shelley is active in the community and enjoys traveling, working out, planning and throwing parties, but most of all enjoys time with her husband Todd and their four young children.
