Sean began his legal career in 1995 at the law firm of Vinson & Elkins LLP in Houston, Texas where he specialized in oil & gas disputes, automotive product liability and pharmaceutical (bad-drug) lawsuits. Sean was recruited away in 2001 by one of the nation’s leading personal injury law firms where he became the youngest partner in the 50-year history of the firm. Sean started what would later become Roberts Markland LLP in 2006 focusing specifically on catastrophic bodily injury, wrongful death and business torts.
Today, Roberts Markland LLP is recognized as one of the elite law firms in the nation in the area of personal injury, wrongful death and business disputes. The firm’s eight lawyers are uniquely skilled and multi-lingual to handle nation-wide a variety of accident and product liability lawsuits including transportation accidents (automobile, trucking, aviation, rail), maritime, offshore rig, and longshoreman accidents, oilfield explosions and accidents, refinery explosions, dram-shop/liquor host, defective products, pharmaceutical and injuries and death caused by toxic contamination and exposure and bad-faith insurance practices.

Sean is heavily invested in the Houston community through his work with various local charities and non-profits – particularly those that support mental health initiatives and the arts. Sean is a member of the Board of Directors of the Houston Museum of African-American Culture (HMAAC), a sponsor of the Ensemble Theater, and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tairon Gray Foundation. Sean is also does work through the Guide-Right program of his fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi.
Sean is a dedicated father of 10-year old son Joshua. Sean and Joshy are avid golfers, skiers, and travelers. Sean’s hobbies include politics and studying history.
