Paul A. Ledford earned his J.D. Degree from the University of Minnesota Law School (J.D. 1995), and his undergraduate degree from Northern Michigan University (B.A. magna cum laude, 1992). Mr. Ledford is the founder of Ledford & Associates, establishing the firm in April 2002. He is a member of the Michigan Bar Association. He has been admitted to practice in all of the courts in the State of Michigan, as well as the U.S. Federal District Court – Western District of Michigan. Mr. Ledford is a former member of the Minnesota Bar Association.

Reported cases include: Northland Ins. Cos. v. Blaylock, 115 F. Supp. 2d 1108 (D. Minn. 2000); Knue v. Smith, 269 Mich.App. 217; 711 N.W.2d 84 (Mich.App., 2005) (rev’d by: 478 Mich. 88; 731 N.W.2d 686 (Mich. 2007).

Mr. Ledford is a member of the following organizations: Michigan Bar Association; National Rifle Association (Life Member); Michigan Coalition of Responsible Gun Owners. Mr. Ledford is a founding member of the Second Amendment Bar Association (SABA). Mr. Ledford is on the attorney referral network for the NRA Self-Defense Insurance and the USCCA Self-Defense Insurance programs. Mr. Ledford continually teaches the legal portion of Concealed Pistol License courses, and since 2001, has taught well over an estimated 7000 CPL applicants. Mr. Ledford also regularly lectures as a guest at Grand Valley State University on issues of liberty, the Second Amendment, Search and Seizure, and other law related topics, and is available upon request.

​Early in his career, Mr. Ledford was selected as a “Rising Star” by Law and Politics two years running. Mr. Ledford practices in both the State and Federal courts, and represents clients before the Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court.
