Detailed Information

Michael Korte Teiman is a trial attorney at Bisnar Chase who works on a wide range of negligence cases involving personal injury, suing the government, wrongful death, and mass torts. He has worked in plaintiff’s-side civil litigation since before even starting law school.

As a passionate and dedicated advocate, Michael has significant experience in effectively and efficiently litigating various case types and maximizing his client’s recovery throughout.

Background and Education

Michael was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, and moved to Huntington Beach, California, when he was fifteen. He loves the area and has been a Southern California resident ever since.

His first job was at Ruby’s Diner on the Huntington Beach pier. Michael ultimately worked at Ruby’s for over a decade, developing and refining his strong work ethic, effective prioritization, and customer service skills.

After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona, Michael went on a seven-week backpacking trip through Europe that helped shape his worldview and empathy for others. During the financial crisis of 2008, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Education from National University. He originally intended to become a teacher, but his desire to practice law took over.

Michael graduated from Loyola Law School in 2017. He enrolled in the evening program in order to continue working and providing for his family while studying.

While he was at law school, Michael participated in multiple activities, clinics, and internships, including: the Center for Conflict Resolution, the Young Lawyers Program, the Human Rights Clinic, intern at SEIU 741, and intern at Navy JAG – Port Hueneme.

Professional Experience

Before law school, Michael Teiman worked at a bankruptcy law firm in Orange County until he found a passion for litigation, leading him to work for a high-profile and reputable firm in Los Angeles.

Since passing the bar, Michael has handled many cases successfully, from elder abuse and neglect cases to government claims, insurance bad faith, and consumer class actions.

As an Orange County and Huntington Beach local for over two decades, Michael feels blessed to be able to practice law in his local community and is proud to be part of the Bisnar Chase team.

Aside from advocating for his clients, Michael spends the majority of his spare time with his family – his wife, three children, and dog. He volunteers with his church and enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, sports, current events, carpentry/restoration, playing all kinds of games, and recently started building models with his son.
