Prior to coming to Gilroy Napoli Short, Melodie worked for over a decade as a Deputy District Attorney at Marion County District Attorney’s Office. During her time at Marion County, she prosecuted a large variety of cases including but not limited to Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, domestic violence, complex property and financial fraud, high level drug crimes, firearm cases, and serious Measure 11 person crimes including homicide. Melodie uses her experience and expertise to help clients through a difficult time in their lives by guiding them through the criminal justice system and advocating for a fair and just outcome.
Background
Melodie graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She continued to Willamette College of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate with a Certificate in Dispute Resolution.
When Melodie is not at the office you can find her spending time with her husband and kids and testing new baking recipes in her kitchen.
