Detailed Information

I was born into a middle-class family in Louisville, Kentucky. Neither of my parents went to college, and while they made enough money to keep us comfortable, I didn’t have a college fund. So, when I graduated early at age seventeen, I went straight to work, and I didn’t stop. Juggling work and studies, I graduated from the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg, with top honors and a relentless drive to succeed.

Prior to my legal career, I honed my leadership and financial acumen managing a 24/7 convenience store. This experience would prove invaluable, as it taught me the intricacies of budgeting, inventory control, and staff supervision that now help me to effectively manage resources and serve as a leader at my firm.

When I decided to leave my career in management for law school it offered new challenges, but I thrived under pressure. I balanced academics with Law Review, dispute resolution competitions, pro bono work, and working as a teaching assistant. I pushed myself to succeed, and ultimately, I graduated second in my class and earned numerous accolades for my skills as an advocate and legal writer.

Not long after graduation, life threw me a curveball with a personal illness, forcing me to put my career on hold. But adversity ultimately led me to the perfect place: a small law firm where I found Robson D.C. Powers, Esq., a mentor who supported and inspired me. Now, I am privileged to have the opportunity to work with my partner, friend, and mentor every day to serve our clients and guide them to the best possible outcomes. My journey may not have been easy, but it made me who I am: a determined advocate who is ready to fight for you.
