Attorneys have a statutory duty to zealously represent their clients within the bounds of the law, and I take that obligation very seriously. However, zealous representation doesn’t mean using scorched earth techniques in all cases. Studies demonstrate litigants typically obtain the best outcomes through settlement negotiations, so I strive to craft advantageous settlement agreements for clients when circumstances permit. I also make use of ADR techniques when possible to resolve disputes in an amicable fashion including arbitration, collaborative practice, and mediation. Unfortunately, a settlement is not always feasible, and I am prepared to litigate vigorously when necessary to obtain a favorable outcome.
