Former Prosecutor. Trial Attorney.

Michael Olowu began his legal career serving the people of Florida as a prosecutor at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office.

As a prosecutor, he investigated and prosecuted hundreds of cases across County and Circuit Court divisions, handling motions to suppress, pretrial motions, depositions, and jury and non-jury trials.

During that time, he developed a reputation as a fearless and relentless trial attorney, trying more than 40 jury and non-jury trials to verdict as lead counsel.

In 2020, Michael was named Trial Convictor by the Broward County State Attorney’s Office Newsletter for his trial count and impressive conviction rate.

Before founding Olowu Law, Michael worked as an associate attorney at Fasi & DiBello P.A., a litigation firm handling tort defense, commercial litigation, construction law, medical malpractice, and tobacco litigation.

There, he represented individuals and Fortune 50 companies in state and federal court.

His civil litigation practice focused on premises liability, tobacco litigation, product liability, and medical malpractice. He handled cases from initial pleadings through final resolution, conducted hundreds of depositions and evidentiary hearings, and achieved favorable rulings and settlements for clients.

In July 2022, Michael served as lead counsel and obtained a complete defense verdict on behalf of his client, saving the client $1.57 million.

Today, Michael brings that experience to Olowu Law, where he represents individuals in personal injury and criminal defense matters across Florida.

His background as both a former prosecutor and civil defense attorney gives him insight into how cases are built, defended, negotiated, and tried.

Michael is admitted to practice law in Florida state and federal courts.
